Mizu Aikido

Welcome to Mizu Aikido.  We have been training in Bedale, North Yorkshire since 2001.  The principle Instructor is Sensei Nigel Spencer 4th Dan.

Aikido means Harmony Spirit Way and is a non competitive martial art relying on technique rather than strength for its effectiveness.   We always welcome new starters and the club has a friendly approach to everyone.

Mizu means Water:

If your opponent strikes with fire counter with water becoming completely fluid and free flowing.  Water by its nature never collides with or breaks against anything.  On the contrary it swallows up any attack harmlessly.
