The picture shows Nigel receiving his 2nd Dan from Soke Eddie Stratton (9th Dan).  Nigel has over 45 years experience in various martail arts.  he started Aikido training in 1989 with the Aikikai before moving to Shudokan Aikido in 1993.  He achieved his Shodan (Black belt) in 1996 and his Nidan 2nd Dan in 1999.  Nigel completed his 3rd Dan in 2007 and was awarded his 4th Dan by Shihan Gwynne Jones at the Bedale Course in 2010. 

He spent 23 years in the Royal Air Force Police working throughout the world including teaching Self Defence and Arrest and Restraint techiques.  After leaving the forces he became a Performance Coach with a Global company developing teams and individuals to their full potential.

3rd Dan Mizu Aikido

1st Dan Shin-Gi-Tai Aikido

Ste has been practicing Aikido for over 20 years.  Ste completed his Shodan in 2010, Nidan in 2014 and Sandan in 2017

Tom Burrill

2nd Dan Mizu Aikido

Tom has been practicing Aikido for over 15 years.  Tom completed his Shodan in 2012 and his Nidan in 2016.

Russell Palmer

Sport England Level 1 coach (BAB)

2nd Dan Mizu Aikido.  Russ completed his Shodan in 2014 and his Nidan in 2017.

Marsha Figg

 Sport England Level 1 Coach (BAB)

Deputy Child Protection Officer

1st Kyu Mizu Aikido (Brown Belt)

Marsha holds qualifications in Child Protection, Child Care, Learning and Development and First Aid.  She holds an independant position within the Club with the remit to consult the Governing Body (IMASA) at any time.   She is currently spending a year in spain with her family.
